MARKETPLACE CHRISTMAS APPEAL
Christmas is the season for giving, and this year, more than ever people in our community find themselves needing a little extra help.
Mount Gambier Marketplace is coming together with our charity partners Four Reasons Why and Foodbank to make giving to others even easier this Christmas. Collection points for the Christmas Appeal have been set up in the centre for donations of toys and food to support families in our community that may be doing it tough this Christmas.
Unwrapped toys, gifts or vouchers can be dropped into the collection box located outside Big W before December 23 for distribution to assist vulnerable families and children who otherwise may not receive a gift this Christmas.
Canned goods and other non-perishable food items can be dropped into the Foodbank collection box located outside Woolworths. Most wanted items include pantry staples such as tuna, pasta, rice, jams, spreads, long life milk and canned fruits and vegetables, with plenty of room for specialty items such as Christmas cake or puddings for Foodbank to those in need throughout the Limestone coast.
